I was honored to have the opportunity to provide a plenary lecture, "US Research in Public Transportation Using ITS Data: Bus Operations and Optimal Stop Spacing" for the 12th Annual Reliability and Statistics in Transportation and Communication (RelStat’12) Conference held at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute, 17–20 October 2012 in Riga, Latvia. This was held in conjunction with the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Action TU0903 Methods and Tools for Supporting the Use, Calibration and Validation of Traffic Simulation Models Workshop, which I also participated in, and the COST Action TU1004 Workshop on Modelling Public Transport Passenger Flows in the Era of Intelligent Transport Systems. Great colleagues and many thanks to our gracious hosts!
