Visit to Lyon

Had a great visit with wonderful colleagues and presented lectures at the Laboratoire d'Ingénierie Circulation Transports (LICIT) which is part of the Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l'Etat (ENTPE) and L’Institut français des sciences et technologies des transports, de l’aménagement et des réseaux (IFSSTAR, formerly INRETS) as well as the Universite de Lyon. Ludovic Leclercq and Christine Buisson (fellow members of the TRB Committee on Traffic Flow Theory and Characteristics) and the entire LICIT team were excellent hosts and it was a great and fruitful experience.

Visit to Munich

Visited the Universität der Bundeswehr München to participate in the Inaugural Lecture of Prof. Klaus Bogenberger and to deliver a guest lecture to the students and staff in the traffic engineering institute.
